Gafai community school is a community based educational institution established by the School proprietors in 2015 The School Proprietors who formed the governing Board of the school are the original School Founders that conceived the idea of establishing the school and also mobilized resources to ensure the school comes into being. These are Mr. Bashir Awaisu, Mr. Naziru Sani and Dr. Abbati Ahmadu while Mr. Abubakar Ahmed served as adviser to them.

The primary goal of the school is to assist the under privileged children especially girl child attain educational status obtainable as provided by the National Policy on Education of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
